ReceiptClaim Privacy Policy

ReceiptClaim is a local-first receipt splitting app published by TinyNeed. We designed the app so your receipt data does not need to leave your device.

Data the app processes

When you choose or photograph a receipt, the app processes that image on your device to recognize text. The app stores the current receipt draft, item claims, participant names, and adjustments locally on that device so you can continue later.

Data we collect

ReceiptClaim does not create accounts, upload receipt photos or recognized receipt text to our servers, collect analytics, show ads, track your location, access payment accounts, or sell personal data.

Camera and photo access

Camera and photo-library permissions are used only when you ask the app to capture or choose a receipt. On-device Google ML Kit text recognition reads the selected image. The app does not send the image to TinyNeed.

Storage and deletion

The current draft remains on your device until you start another receipt, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Starting another receipt clears the saved draft inside ReceiptClaim.

Sharing

If you use the Share action, the settlement text is passed to the destination you choose through the operating system's share sheet. The chosen third-party app then handles that text under its own privacy policy.

Children

ReceiptClaim is a general utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information.

Changes

If the app's data practices change, we will update this page and its effective date before the new practice applies.
